A passion project, experimental survey and an ongoing research project on the relevance of nationalism today. Nationalism as a concept has muddied its reputation in recent times. Looking at a country like India, that holds a broad mix of cultures, languages and religions on the backdrop of a 200 year long colonial past, how does one define Nationalism? The changing social climate and the constant need for people to voice/prove their nationalism in the media, made me question that very ideology.

Following this I designed a website to conduct a survey, prompting people to think about what characteristics or sentiments make them 'Indian'. The minimalist one page website mimics the Indian flag, with the 'Ashok chakra' in the center. Each of its 24 spokes are as slices of a pie chart, with different possible answers to the question.
